GOOD LIFE 2030 Documentary

Out of 4,000 entries, Purpose Disruptors was chosen to showcase our 'Good Life 2030' work on the biggest stage at COP26 - the IMAX Cinema in the Green Zone.

At the IMAX Cinema at COP26 in Glasgow, we hosted the global premiere of our "Good Life 2030" documentary. Filmed in partnership with The Big Sky, this is the first-ever documentary about the advertising industry and its relationship with the climate crisis.

'Good Life 2030' features interviews with industry leaders reflecting on the future of adland, alongside interviews with UK citizens from our research in collaboration with Insight Climate Collective.

The documentary also shows the making of the 3 new 'Adverts for 2030' made by top agencies McCann Manchester, Iris and Gravity Road, which bring to life UK citizens visions of what a good life is like in 2030.

ADVERTS FOR 2030

In response to the 'Good Life 2030' creative brief (written by Ally Kingston), which cleverly positioned 2030 as the 'client', 3 top ad agencies – Gravity Road, Iris and McCann Manchester – created one of the three new 'Adverts for 2030' in an 8-week sprint.

The adverts bring to life the visions of UK citizens from Purpose Disruptors research with the Insight Climate Collective, which unearths what people really want their life to be like in 2030...

“Less is more”

by Gravity Road

"Less is More" is an immersive audio experience that cleverly peels back the layers of sound to reveal how the Good Life we’re all seeking has been obscured by the frenetic way we live today. But when distractions are removed, we can see and feel what it means to live a more connected life. It then invites us to go inside and imagine 2030 for ourselves.

Best enjoyed with headphones for full experience.

It’s me, you

(feat. Alice Levine)

by McCann Manchester

Starring British radio and television presenter, narrator and comedian Alice Levine, this film brings the future forward in a really personal, humorous way through time travel. The advert by McCann Manchester shows how the future affects each and every one of us and how it is up to all of us to make change happen.

Good Stuff

by Iris

"Good Stuff" brilliantly demonstrates our addiction to ‘stuff’ – the mass consumerism we are all consumed by. It then reveals what the actual Good Stuff is in life – time with others, time in nature, time doing the things we love.

This film encourages us to fill our lives with more of the Good Stuff and leave the other stuff behind.
